Parenthood is such a huge responsibility, there are so many new challenges that will lie ahead. In this brief article I want to focus on one tiny aspect of your new challenge, and buying a new diaper bag can be quite a challenge.

However, it should be an enjoyable experience, let's not forget that you will potentially have a gorgeous new fashion accessory at the end of it. Choosing a bag that you like the look of is the easy part, that is simply a matter of your personal fashion sense, but getting into the functionality of what a good diaper bag is, will give you some food for thought.

Too, you may be choosing only one diaper bag, (some Moms have two or three), and so you will have to research well and find the exact one that meets most if not all of your requirements.

Let's say that you can only afford to buy one diaper bag. First consider that the bag will have to meet all your travelling requirements. So, that would be short trips to the supermarket, and long hauls were you will be packing the bag to its limit. In some ways then, the long haul is the problem. Would you choose anti-bacterial lining if it was available to you? Will you choose a bag with enough room for a laptop and/or cell phone. These, and many other choices will be how you will ultimately choose just the right diaper bag for yourself and your new baby.

Finally, you will have the unmitigated joy of choosing from the most amazing textures, and print designs, from shimmering golds to summery pastels. Here, you will be spoilt for choice, and after all you've been through you deserve it, don't you?
